WHAT WE’RE ABOUT
Cool Change has been open since 2011 and is renowned for its friendly and personal service, eclectic music, and cool vibe. It is known as a second home to our locals and visitors from all over New Zealand and overseas.
Our bar and restaurant operate out of a heritage villa located in the heart of Martinborough Square, which was originally the old Post Office dating back to 1896.
WHAT WE OFFER
With a modern contemporary menu approach, our focus is on seasonal and flavourful food using the best fresh produce from our local suppliers. Our food is inspired by the classics with a passion for current food trends. Our aim is to create a memorable dining experience in an ambient and homely environment.
The separate restaurant with its open fire and retro style creates a warm and inviting dining room which seats 45 people. The bar consists of three different rooms with high leaners and comfy chairs. French doors in the main bar open out onto the deck where you can sit bathed in late afternoon sun with a cold beer best served on those fabulous balmy Martinborough evenings.

The popular outdoor deck area is a great place to people watch and rehydrate basking in the late sun.
THE NAME ‘COOL CHANGE’
The name ‘Cool Change’ derived from our passion for music through the 70s, 80s and 90s and was named after The Little River Band Song.
